Art and Culture: Dutch museum unveils once-hidden art collection in new mirrored warehouse

Dutch artwork and layout museum Boijmans Van Beuningen on Friday opened a beautiful mirrored warehouse known as the “Depot” to display the exquisite bulk of its collection typically stored in underground storage, hidden from public view.

While most museums most effective have the gap to expose a small a part of their ordinary series, the Rotterdam artwork museum has now unveiled 151,000 works of art for the public in an ethereal, multi-storied, metal and glass building.

Boijmans director Sjarrel Ex told Reuters that art museums typically show just the end of the iceberg in their collection, that means a fantastic ninety three percentage of works are in no way on show.
