The Maharashtra government has declared another honor named after Rajiv Gandhi, days after the focal government changed the name of the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award to Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award.
Pastor of State for Information and Technology Satej Patil said the honor will be given to foundations and organizations for remarkable execution in the data innovation area, the birth commemoration of previous PM Rajiv Gandhi.
The BJP said it had no issue with the new honor except for looked to know why the Congress didn’t name the IT grant after Rajiv Gandhi notwithstanding being in power for 15 back to back years. BJP representative Madhav Bhandari said, “We have no resistance to the honor being given for the sake of Rajiv Gandhi. In any case, Congress ought to disclose with respect to why notwithstanding being in power for 15 sequential years, it didn’t name the IT grant after Rajiv Gandhi? They are wading into controversy, their legislative issues just revovles around the name of Gandhi-Vadra family.”
He added, “It appears to be the Congress didn’t know about the commitment of Rajiv Gandhi this load of years and presently they have unexpectedly understood that he made a major commitment to the IT area.”
Patil tweeted on Tuesday evening, “… The honor, which will be declared on August 20, will be an enduring recognition for Late Shri Rajiv ji for his spearheading work in the innovation area in India.” Patil rejected that there was any political thought process in naming the honor after Rajiv Gandhi. “The world thinks about Rajiv Gandhi’s commitment to the IT area. He introduced the IT time, which has helped change the substance of the country,” he said.
It was chosen to declare the honor at a gathering of the IT division on July 7, Patil said, adding, “The record was put before the Chief Minister, who endorsed it two days prior and afterward I tweeted it late in the evening,” he said.
The public authority will converse with different associations like NASSCOM to conclude the modalities of the honor, Patil said. “It will be given to organizations or establishments which dominate in the field with novel thoughts and developments. The honor will be given out by Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray,” he said.
“This year, the honor will be reported on August 20, the determination method will be finished and the honor will be given before October 30. From the following year, the conveyance of the honor will be given on August 20. Maharashtra IT Corporation Limited (MAHA-IT), the state government venture, has been named the nodal office to propose the honor,” Patil said.
Rajiv Gandhi filled in as the 6th Prime Minister somewhere in the range of 1984 and 1989.
Congress representative Atul Londhe said, “The IT transformation introduced by Rajiv Gandhi lifted 24 crore individuals over the neediness line. We have not changed any name… We have no issue with an honor being named after Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his commitment to GST and demonetisation
