India: Valmiki community ‘lagging behind’, has to come forward, says Mohan Bhagwat

The RSS chief’s comments came even as addressing the event of Valmiki Jayanti in Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur.

“Valmiki community is still very weak and is lagging in the back of. It has to come forward. Babasaheb Ambedkar, while giving the Constitution in Parliament, had stated that people who were considered backward until now will no longer remain backward. Dr Ambedkar had said that now the Dalits could take a seat with everybody. We made this provision, however merely making the availability will not be enough. The mind-set has to be converted,” he stated.

“He had stated that he has provided political and monetary Freedom by way of making preparations… But it is going to be realised simplest whilst social freedom will come and therefore the second Dr Saheb worked to carry that spirit from Nagpur from 1925 via Sangh,” Bhagwat brought.
