Udhampur: The Northern Command of the Indian Army on Thursday coordinated a two-day cruiser rally to recognize Kargil Vijay Diwas in Jammu and Kashmir, checking 22 years of triumph of the Kargil War.

Lt Gen Y K Joshi, General official ordering (GOC) in C Northern Command, is driving the 25 bikers from Udhampur under “Dhruv Kargil Ride” which will end at Kargil War Memorial in Drass. Subedar Sanjay Kumar, a beneficiary of Param Vir Chakra, hailed off the Dhruv Kargil Ride.
While addressing media on the event, Lt Gen Y K Joshi said that this bike rally is coordinated to recollect the fallen saints during activity Vijay.
“Today, this exertion of our own to coordinate this cruiser rally is to recollect the fallen saints during activity Vijay and furthermore to resuscitate, revive and stimulate the soul of enthusiasm among the young people. On July 7, I traveled to “Batra top” in Sukhoi 30MKI, that was a day when one of my commandant, Captain Vikram Batra, had set out his life. Today, I am attempted this bike rally to recollect all the fallen saints who set out their lives for the country,” said Lt Gen Y K Joshi.
In a message to the young people of the country, he said they should think beyond practical boundaries, to plan for an impressive future, to do enormous and to turn out to be large. “Try not to follow the beaten track, go into the obscure, make your own way and let others follow,” he added.
He additionally guaranteed the residents of the country that the courageous warriors of Indian Army will consistently remain to ensure the country.
Lt Col Abhinav Navneet revealed to ANI that the cruiser rally is coordinated in cooperation between Jawa Motorcycle Company and the Indian Army.
“This year we are have finished 22 years of the triumph of Kargil War. This bike rally is coordinated as a team with Jawa Motorcycle Company and the Indian Army. We have named this assembly “Dhruv Kargil Ride”, in which 25 bikers will begin their excursion from Udhampur and will close at Kargil War Memorial in Drass. There, we will offer our recognition for the bold officers of Kargil war and will help the assurance of fighters who are posted there,” he said.
Major Kajal, who took part without precedent for the meeting, said it is an advantage for her to be important for it and to recollect the saints of the Kargil war.
“It’s a question of integrity. This is the first occasion when I am related with this assembly. It has been made arrangements for two days – July 22 and 23 – beginning from Udhampur to Drass,” she said.
She said it involves pride to work on something for the warriors who have set out their lives in the line of obligation. “It’s a tiny commitment from our side to recollect them and their penance for the country,” she added.
Major Vivek said they will begin with 25 bikers from Udhampur and later others will go along with them coming.
