
The municipality estimates the arrival of more than 5,000 visitors and an economic benefit close to 4 million pesos .
The councilor of Tourism of the Cabildo de Tlatlauquitepec, Aldo Jiménez Gil invited people from Puebla, as well as visitors from other states to participate in the activities scheduled on Saturday, November 26 and Sunday, November 27 to celebrate 10 years of the municipality as a Magical Town.
He recognized that, during said decade, the community has developed hard work in order to consolidate the destination by offering attractions such as the firefly season or the La Llorona Festival.
He announced that among the main activities that will take place over the weekend are conferences on ecological reserves, a parade of customs and traditions, craft workshops of toys, honey, tlayoyos and fabrics, in addition to the award ceremony for “People with magic Tlatlauquense” for all those inhabitants who have contributed to the consolidation of the Magical Town.
On behalf of the Secretary of Tourism, Marta Ornelas Guerrero, the General Director of Tourism Promotion, Juan Ramón Álvarez Cuspinera mentioned that the organizers expect an economic benefit of close to 4 million pesos, generated by the arrival of 5,000 visitors, which will allow contribute to the reactivation of the economy in the community.
The presentation was attended by Inocencio Flores Martín, producer of artisanal wines, and Irene Luna Godos, Miss Pueblos Mágicos, originally from Tlatlauquitepec.
The mountain municipality is located two hours away from the state capital along the Amozoc-Perote highway. When you get to Libres, take the turnoff to Teziutlán and follow the signs.
