Chamber of Deputies rejects the Electoral Reform

Previously, the Secretary of the Interior, Adán Augusto López, delivered the electoral reform initiative in the Chamber of Deputies through secondary laws.

This Tuesday, December 6, in the Chamber of Deputies, the Reform of the Electoral Law, sent by the president, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, was discarded.

The draft decree obtained 269 votes in favor and 225 against, in addition to one abstention.

Previously, the Secretary of the Interior, Adán Augusto López, delivered in the Chamber of Deputies the electoral reform initiative through secondary laws, known as “Plan B”.

The modification proposals will be integrated into the debate journal.
